Laura Koebel, e-RYT 200
Laura began her yoga practice over a decade ago. She was drawn to the practice because it challenged her to be fully present, increased body awareness and provided grounding and calming. Ashtanga yoga got a hold of her with its highly focused, very disciplined and structured practice. After exploring other styles of yoga, Laura fell in love with the freedom, dynamism and continuous movement of Vinyasa classes.
Laura received her 200 hour yoga training through Sky House Yoga in Silver Spring, Maryland in 2013. Since then she has continued her studies working to obtain her 500 hr designation through Yoga Medicine. Laura has taught in the US, Canada, the Philippines, Singapore and Italy. Laura’s approach to teaching is to simply be a source of direction and inspiration, allowing students to make this very individual practice, their own. She guides students through a fluid physical practice encouraging a playful sense of curiosity and exploration. Drawing from various styles, her classes are an energetic expression of yoga that emphasize clarity of alignment and a steady connection to the breath. Laura challenges herself to weave in as many aspects of all that is yoga into her presentation of the Asanas (poses) and Pranayama (breath work) by connecting to her own practices and contemplation of Yogic philosophy. She encourages her students to play with their edge, while providing a safe, encouraging, and nonjudgmental environment where each individual can work to their full potential. |
